Changes and discarding

Measuring instruments may e.g. be transferred to another location. Measuring instruments are discarded through scrapping or recycling.

The transfer of a measuring instrument to another location may give rise to action taken by notified bodies if the changes involve breaking seals or if the g value of the new location differs from that of the earlier one.

Buyers of scrap metal may play a role in the discarding of measuring instruments.
