Modifications
The construction of a natural gas pipeline in an area makes natural gas available in that area. New customers thus link to the regional pipeline. As a rule, modifications involve the same process but the pipelines are shorter and the related land acquisition issues simpler than those involved in the construction of long transmission pipelines. Matters relating to land acquisition, route planning, technical planning and construction are addressed in a manner appropriate to the scope of each undertaking.
