About Tukes online service

The Finnish Safety and Chemicals Agency (Tukes) online service at www.tukes.fi provides a wide range of information about issues including the agency and its operations and duties. Tukes is in charge of website maintenance and responsible for its content, with efforts made to keep the content as up-to-date as possible at all times.

Automated data collection

The Tukes online service is open to everyone, and personal data of service users is not collected. Cookies are used to collect compiled statistical information about issues such as visitor numbers, average time spent on the pages, the most popular pages, and browsers used. Individual visitors cannot be identified.  The information is used to ensure and improve the technical implementation and usability of the service.


Tukes owns all rights to the texts, images and documents on the www.tukes.fi website. Quoting of and linking to pages and content of this service is permitted provided that Tukes is acknowledged as the source. The Tukes logo may not be used unless specifically authorised by Tukes.

Technical requirements

The online service can be used with Internet Explorer 7 or higher and the most commonly used browsers, such as Firefox, Chrome, Mozilla, Opera and Safari. To access PDF documents, such as publications and leaflets, you will need software such as Adobe Acrobat Reader, which can be downloaded free of charge from the Adobe website.
