Applying for a mining safety permit

A mining safety permit is applied for from Tukes. The requirements for the content of an application are provided for in Section 122 of the Mining Act (621/2011). The requirements laid down in Section 20 of the Mining Decree (391/2012) and in Section of the Decree on Mining Safety (1571/2011) must also be taken into consideration. In addition to information on the applicant, at least the following pieces of information must be appended to the application: the operating principles that the mining operator has in place for the prevention of accidents, an assessment of the elements endangering mining safety, and an internal rescue plan and a general plan.
