A construction product is defined as a product that is used for building purposes and remains a permanent feature of the building itself. Products used on building sites during construction work and removed afterwards are not considered as construction products.
Tukes supervises only construction products bearing CE marking based on the EU’s Construction Products Directive. Some construction products with CE marking include rescue service equipment, electrical products or pressure equipment.
Tukes is also Finland’s national surveillance authority for the components in concrete blends (fly ash, blast-furnace slag, silica).
