A risk assessment must be conducted on separate major sites of use. These are sites where the combined total nominal output capacity is a minimum of 6 megawatts.
The risk assessment must provide a description of the risks related to the use and handling of natural gas, a description of typical hazard situations and their consequences and a plan regarding preparedness for risk prevention in both normal and exceptional usage situations and conditions.
Explosion protection documents
The operator must assess the equipment's explosion risk before its commissioning. If the assessment reveals of risk of explosion on the site, the operator must produce an explosion protection document.
The document must contain the results of the explosion risk assessment, the technical and organisational protection measures and the zone classification of the premises.
